Good News - (6/15/2005)

GOOD NEWS: Derek Jeter has gotten into the top ten in a category this year. The "first pick if I was starting a team" broke through in On-Base percentage at .385, good enough for 10th. As for average, runs, steals, doubles, triples, home runs, slugging, hits, walks, etc., he is waiting to break out and "get hot". PS The reason why Andy Pettite is 3-7 now is because he's on the Astros. If was on the Yankees again, he would be 7-3. Same pitcher, legend in one city, bust in another? No, if you start on the Yankees and have a pulse, you win.PSS Did you know that Jeter led the AL in runs in 1998 and hits in the same year? That is the only time in his career, that he led the league in anything, let me type that line again: he never led the league in anything besides 98 and yet many still say he is "the best player in baseball". I love this stuff. Feel free to write about his "rings", and I still love you guys...........
